So I guess we're all doing this, eh?

Hello to everyone newly here (or who has newly found me) and please bear with me while I get lists set up so I can actually figure out how to keep up with everyone! 😅

In the mean time, I'll try to bring the birds and open source docs content!

I love seeing people using Astro for fun, and this Othello game was def fun! Took a little break to play against myself.

Since I mention working on it every month, if you follow me, you probably already know Astro has a newsletter. But, have you subscribed to it?

Visit the web archive at https://buttondown.com/withastro/archive/ and if you like what you see, subscribe before the November edition goes out tomorrow!

Preparing the November blog post and newsletter, and it's truly an embarrassment of riches this month.

Gonna have to call this the "Oops! All adopters!" edition.

Too many big names are now using Astro/Starlight! My little call out section is meant for *maybe* four websites, tops! 😂

Something I learned recently is a Canadianism: "rhyme off", as in "I can rhyme off all the players on the 1993 Blue Jays by heart".

The Dictionary of Canadianisms project at UBC shows it as specifically an Ontarioism

l accomplished two household chores today, and while I in no way deserve a medal, I'm gonna take the win.

And if you need a win today, heck, share mine! We did it, fam! 🥳

I made the @reactadvanced.gitnation.org marketing email!

You want to be a part of the very first React Advanced conference in **Canada**, don't you?? Attend in person (Toronto), or remotely: reactadvanced.com/canada/

Fun fact: it was a wild, long, extra-inning game late in 1998 (not even a Toronto #BlueJays game!) I watched with Joe that hooked me on baseball.

I'm so excited that this *objectively entertaining* 2025 World Series likely spawned a whole new batch of Blue Jays/baseball fans across Canada.

Many thanks and kind appreciation to those who knew we were trying to watch the World Series while travelling/working in Europe and may have been behind... and so didn't mention #BlueJays to me at all!

I'm heartbroken for THEM, but elated for US. So epic. Much everything. I loved it. Bring on 2026.
