My long awaited visit to the NCC finally arrived today and it was so worth it!

I got to work with some incredible objects, supported by very helpful collections access and conservation teams, and ended with a fab tour of the incredible new storage hall thanks to @lauragrayblair.bsky.social

The Wiener Holocaust Library’s new exhibition on Jewish émigré Fred Kormis is exquisite. This woodcut in particular stuck with me: Kormis made it as a prisoner of war in Siberia during WWI, then took it with him when he fled Germany in 1933. Go if you can: wienerholocaustlibrary.org/exhibition/f...
