It was, a bit 😅I was so relieved we found her and got her down.
We think another cat must have got in the garden and attacked her 😔
She spent all yesterday hiding on top of a wardrobe, but seems a bit more herself now.

There were two. I’d not heard of them before. There are some kid’s fiction books about chess - but for older ones.

At least I made good use of the Audible subscription. Half of the books pictured - including the Johannes Cabal books - are part of the Plus Catalogue. Much enjoyed.

We had a very nice evening indeed.

After much deliberation, my 9yo niece (advanced reader for her age; I’m very proud) is getting some Diana Wynne Jones for Christmas. Many thanks to Topping & Co Books in Ely.

We’ve now bah-humbugged our way through acquiring and decorating a Christmas tree. It actually does look nice, I think.

I’d ideally drink my way through this next bit. Oh well. Consider my mental bulwarks reinforced and ready. It’s going to be fine.

Well, I suggested ‘sausage, egg and chips’ for tonight’s dinner.
Pork fillet, wrapped in bacon with cider and mustard sauce… a little more complicated, lol. 🍽️

It’s getting there… just not very fast.
An unfinished cross-stitch in a sewing frame. It will be a birth sampler. The pattern is a square shape with paw prints around the edge and rectangular segments with the alphabet in some and animals in others. In the top right is Noah’s ark with two birds perched on top.
