this abstract sequence in particular made my jaw drop, felt like watching the last two episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion remixed for a cheesy MTV music video.

without a doubt one of those most visually dazzling OVAs i’ve ever come across, every single composition is brimming with passion and feeling.

oh and this one may be my favorite dissolve in the whole movie… the headlights from their car as they drive away blending into the lights from cars on the street as they look outside their window… STUNNING
