In LA, officers deployed tear gas and shot rubber bullets at protesters fighting against ICE raids.

Here’s a reminder that those anti-protest weapons—which are billed as relatively safe—can actually cause serious harm.

A federal judge just ordered ICE to release (on bail) Mohsen Mahdawi, the Columbia student and green card holder from the West Bank who was detained at his citizenship interview this month for what his lawyers say was his pro-Palestinian advocacy.

To Trump, he said today: "I am not afraid of you."

Wow, only 15 Senate Democrats voted to block nearly $9 billion in weapons packages to Israel. Both measures failed, which was expected to happen given the party's divide on the issue.

What's surprising is that there were four *fewer* Democrats who voted yes this time than in November.
The Senate is voting today on whether to block $8.8 billion in weapons sales to Israel, including more than 35,000 one-ton bombs. The effort's being led by @sanders.senate.gov.

This could serve as an important test for Dems, given their voters increasingly support ending the weapons transfers.

Schiff says he plans to vote no on the JRDs, because blocking the sale of 20,000-pound bombs to Israel "do not get us closer to peace."

He mentioned Palestinians protesting Hamas, but not the Israelis protesting Netanyahu to stop bombing Gaza. And again, Gaza has not received *any* aid for a month.
