It's the writing! When I was making the tier list one of my buddies who loves Bready was there so I used her as the image (tho Bready is very cute and her/Crust's story is very sweet)

This was made in a flurry while a trying to explain to a friend what I meant by "New Vegas tier writing" when describing that few games match Nikkes writing

Goddess Fall definitely feels like Nikke showing it's got teeth and that the team is (seemingly) very willing to kill off characters... we'll see if it sticks but /woof/ what a feels trip...
