The #ArcRaiders preview was a lot of fun, more than anything it makes me hope I get into #marathongame playtest this week. I'm excited to see the different flows and loops at play. I'm rooting for both of them

The fits on the timeline are slowly winning me over. I'll play whatever version of Pokemon if I can dress up my trainer

TLDR; Destiny Rising is good on PC specifically, try it, SPEND NOTHING

Its launch, they want to win you over, they will offer you a lot; it wont be like that forever but for now do not stress about being able to grab anything, just play and save

If you want that banner, focus on that, play all the things that source the currency, do no spend

Story is hitting the beats nicely and they flow just like the other vanilla campaigns. A bit hokey in delivery and dialogue but feels like something they can easily improve. There is also some (hopefully) placeholder AI here and there that can get taken out when they can

Feels like Destiny with that nice smooth reactivity and sound design. Music is top, arenas feel like bite sized version of what we'd see in D1 or D2 but they have that same feeling in the fights.

Its also surprisingly feature complete with patrol zones, PvPvE and strikes

Day 1 of #DestinyRising done, its good (on PC) If you can its absolutely the go to. Netease has their own emulator that they've made available and encouraged till they put together a PC client I assume; to the point where they're offering to give you stuff for checking it out

Again, I really liked EoF; excited to have a chill run through the raid and to engage with the new armor systems. Its a good place to jump back in if you've lapsed.

Ultimately it keeps the great level of quality seen since Witch Queen and sets up some fun new stuff to come (end)

Bugs were unfortunately plentiful leading to lots of waypoints that led me into walls and lots of audio for guns and music and speaking lines just not playing.

Its stuff that'll be fixed with time but Bungie desperately needs in house QA. The games too big and intricate to not (8/9)
July 21, 2025 at 12:02 AM
When the puzzle abilities blend into combat solely though, its fun. Boss fights that have you moving around using things to reveal items and areas are nice (7/9)
July 21, 2025 at 12:02 AM
Doing a puzzle heavy, Metroidvania inspired campaign has some problems but also benefits. The layout and sense of exploration on Kepler are effective but in missions you can tend to lose momentum looking for the relocators or spark pad (6/9)
July 21, 2025 at 12:02 AM
Ikora also has a ton of great moments and finally feels like she has a fully three dimensional feel alongside Zavala and Crow (5/9)
July 21, 2025 at 12:02 AM
Lodi is the easy star of the expansion bringing a fresh flavor with his dialogue and perspective and top shelf delivery with every line. Brian Villalobos has raised the bar for performances in the series (4/9)
July 21, 2025 at 12:02 AM
Everyone on the cast feels like they have a ton to do this time thanks to good, concise writing, use in the story and the additional quests focused on just one or two at a time (3/9)
July 21, 2025 at 12:02 AM
The story takes more of a mystery and discovery focus here to great effect. Interacting with the locals of Kepler and learning about the innerworkings of this group of Exiles while helping and fighting around the planet felt like a fun multi-episode Star Trek arc (2/9)
July 21, 2025 at 12:02 AM
#D2TheEdgeofFate was really great. I've yet to dive deep into some of the deeper hobby stuff so I'm mostly talking about the story and stuff on Kepler🧵 (1/9)
