We show that mice fed undecanedioic acid (DC11) excrete large amounts of chain-shortened odd-chain dicarboxylic acids such as azelaic (DC9) and pimelic acid (DC7), but also those that typically accumulate in glutaric aciduria type 1 (GA1). These are glutaric acid (DC5) and 3-hydroxyglutaric acid.
