I actually like going to the office over the holidays. About 1/3 less traffic, can play music without disturbing my neighbors, have meeting-free concentrated drafting time and can still take stretch breaks to appreciate the view... #NYC #photography

Basic knitter here. Starting a sweater in the round (never done before). Re-started magic loop 4x to even it out. Now that's ok, but now big, uneven edge where I cast on. Pattern didn't specify long-tail so I didn't do it. If I redo this w/long tail, will it clean up the edge? 🧶 #knitting #learning

I snerdled a bit more, then procrastiknitted, but here's what I did w/rest of the day. 3/4 of that wall/beams/insulation were just replaced. 3 months' construction time. I primed, painted the wall, all trim, laundered/cleaned everything & loaded back in...so glad it is DONE! #decor #DIY

No deep fried turkeys, indeed. We've had a #wildfire (NY/NJ border - we're OK) for > a week. 5K+ acres gone, 1 young ranger life lost, flared up tonight & reached homes. Just also reported someone throwing a lit cig out of their car - near *woods*. PD chief was incredulous...so dangerous.

Omg. Love. When my 2 were kittens they snuggled but now it may as well have never happened. Morgana would deny having ever hugged Gwennie, but I have proof!

Old movies 🎬 and knitting 🧶 are my self-care agenda for the evening. Highly recommended, the original "Blithe Spirit" with Rex Harrison (on TCM now).

Genius cat (Morgana) heading into the fireplace to slap at the pilot light knob & try to turn it on herself, while not-smart-but-sweet cat Gwennie observes. Morgana watched me turning it on & remembered the details *the next day*. Just glad she hasn't figured out to grow herself thumbs... #cats

Walking is great! Did a bit of stress baking with a friend recently - did 5 apple pies, 3 were mine & 2 of which I gave away. My dog was hopeful to get some pie right off my plate!

Every Christmas, we watch "Meet Me in St. Louis" & each year, I go nuts for Judy Garland's headscarf. Found a vintage pattern that looks really close. I think try a thin yarn & sew crystals on after? Stay tuned to see all the spectacular ways I'll likely mess this up before next winter... #knitting
