there’s literally no parallel to Carney in US recent history of a whipsmart leader poised to bring transformational change to a country. Obama is the closest, but I think he had a much harder time learning the ropes at first and then when he did, he had to work against GOP Congress.

not sure how much i trust Brietbart about anything, but if Trudeau actually did say that Canada wouldn’t be viable without the US, that was a major blunder beyond all belief. I find it hard to believe though. either way, glad Carney is at the helm now.

it’s a bimodal distribution. little under 1/2 voted for him, a little over 1/2 voted for someone else. trouble is, conservative states have disproportionate power despite their lesser populations due to the Electoral College and gerrymandering. and it’s not likely to get changed anytime soon. 😖
