I was thinking of making the dumb 4D chess joke about Trump endorsing Cuomo because he *wants* Mamdani to win but I just found a Cuomo supporter who is making that argument legitimately
Trump is endorsing the person he wants to lose. It blows me away people are too stupid to see this tactic. Cuomo is the person Trump actually fears, and he's trying to sabotage him in New York. He wants Mamdani to win because a Mamdani victory plays perfectly into his plans.

Someone who makes empty promises he can't keep? Andrew Cuomo rebuilt LaGuardia Airport, got the Moynihan Station built, and faced down Donald Trump. A mayor has to make things happen in a city where nothing comes easy. A crisis demands a tough leader.

Text I got from my seventy year old mom the other day
SL Had our first encounter w ICE today on our very street!!! People were blowing whistles and I was honking my horn. We were both yelling "Get the Fuck out of Chicago". They had stopped a long line of cars and they were running after a guy on a restaurant construction project. People follow them on bikes with whistles and you can see one of these assholes pick up a guys bike and throw it. Bet they wouldn't be so brave if they were getting shot at as in a real wartime setting.

What's the best concert you've ever been to? Curtis Mayfield at the Wingate Concert Series. At that concert there was a rainstorm and the lights fell on Curtis Mayfield and they actually paralyzed him at that concert. He died a few years ago, but it was an amazing concert before that happened. Just so unfortunate.
