Very few St George’s flags around, not even rain soaked and miserable-looking. However, in Manchester earlier today a Che Guevara flag was flying.

This is brutal. A decade of inaction.
*Statements directly lifted from the A6 Corridor Study of ten years ago (p194). www.highpeak.gov.uk/media/1620/M...

It’s a fun read (trust me) that proposes loads of other sensible interventions while discounting a bypass idea. Let’s see how many have been achieved since… (yet bypass talk returns!)

In the Netherlands, where the Dutch invest in safe cycling, the over-65s cycle around a quarter of their journeys, while the over-80s cycle around 10% of theirs.

Low Traffic Neighbourhoods and cycle lanes don't 'restrict freedom', they expand it.

What a dream! What a brilliant day!

Got to work 810s on their first day in traffic with 1C59: 1400 Sheffield to St Pancras being worked by 810010

The reaction to these trains have been really positive and everyone was really enjoying themselves, both crew and passenger 😊

What... a... day!

"ultimately the WI is a women's organisation"

"We could have waited for the EHRC guidance, but I think society needs organisations such as my own to lead,"

I was willing to give the WI the benefit of the doubt, but these comments are unreasonably cruel.

I met a Real Estate developer from Hong Kong at a party in London at the weekend, and was fascinated to learn they’re using AI to go back thru hours of recorded planning meetings to analyse each councillor for the councils they’re investing in. Am fun at parties, obvs.

If you're a Not Disabled person and you're setting up a room for a meeting, what do you wish you had as guidance to include disabled people?

A fold out paper "wheelchair space guide" for ex.

What actual, practical stuff would you want? What kinds of guidance? (Making a pack for local parties)

Caught short? I so love all the work @carolinerussell.bsky.social puts in to improving access to toilets in London. More of this everywhere!!
🚽 World Toilet Day today and I’m off to join the @londonlooalliance.bsky.social at White Hart Lane to enjoy one of the new toilets installed by TfL.

💷 So glad that I eventually got the Mayor to put £3m a year for five years into improving toilet availability on the transport network.
Busy week at City Hall - publication last week of the toilet feasibility study was a big milestone in my push for the Mayor to include public toilets as an accessibility measure on the TfL network and was amazing to get to talk about it on Sunday Politics.

Love that EVERYONE loves toilets 😍
