Yeah, I am starting to think the constitutional crisis is in a death spiral. It does not occur in singular acts but in the orchestration of administration ripping itself apart. The parts that constitute a government is what gives its coherence and this is the unwinding.
SNAP update. Insane one. So USDA is now saying on a huge lag:
- issue partial payments using a bad-math formula;
- CLAW BACK full issuances that any state sent *properly* under last week's guidance;
- if you don't CLAW BACK benefits, we won't pay the federal share of SNAP administrative costs (??)

The plaques removed from the American war cemetery in Limburg by the incumbent regime. The shame of it all.

I struggle not to repost every Renault and Hotchkiss I see, I just find them so charming. For all their obvious inadequacies, they were sturdy, stubborn little machines, and I can't help but feel a certain affection, mixed with a healthy touch of pity, for them and their crews.

Nuremburg trials is the moderate position
He said that the agents would throw food at them to eat. The agents threatened to withhold food for a week and to beat him up if he didn't sign deportation papers. He said he saw others refuse and get beaten/receive no food. He signed because he was afraid.

パリのリヴォリ通り（Rue de Rivoli）、ルーヴル美術館に隣接するチュイルリー公園のすぐ隣の場所で放棄されたドイツ軍の戦車：Pz.Kpfw. 35R 731(f) 、第100装甲連隊第8中隊の「51号車」。これも1940年にフランス軍のルノーR35を接収して砲塔キューポラの頂部をカットしてドイツ風に仕立てたもの。塗装も３色迷彩ですっかりドイツ軍車両になっている。
8月25-26日のパリ解放で繰り出した人々。お祭りだからか普段着なのかはわからないがみんなスーツなのがパリらしい。年配のおじさんは30年代風の仕立てか、ボトムも裾幅ゆったりめ。自転車の青年はウエストの絞りがタイトな仕立て。
