Been trying to hit 52 books for the last several years and never quite got there and this year did it with 49 days left. I’d like to thank the Academy…

Watching 1947’s The Unsuspected. This might be the most underrated classic film noir that I’ve seen. Gets better every time I watch it, and it’s one of my favorite Audrey Totter performances. Claude Rains is great as well. #Noirvember

The best decision Miramax made when they had the rights to the Halloween franchise was casting Busta Rhymes, and you’ll never convince me otherwise.

Doing an X-Files rewatch. Today’s episode is Eve, which was the episode where I realized this was must watch TV for the foreseeable future back in 1993.

Sarah Pinbourough does it again with We Live Here Now. Just one of the most consistent authors writing today, and just the absolute Queen of the twists. Loved this book so much.

I thought Eenie Meanie was a blast. Maybe my favorite movie Samara Weaving has been in since Ready or Not. I wish Disney/Hulu had promoted it more. I fear it will get lost quickly in the streaming shuffle.

I have come to the conclusion that A Stitch in Crime might not only be the best Columbo episode but one of the best episodes of television ever.

My dog has been laying by the bedroom door looking out everyday since I’ve been cooped up post surgery like she’s guarding me. Today she fell asleep on the job so I might have to fire her.

Marshmallow is an interesting approach to the slasher film that didn’t quite gel for me at the end, but I can see a lot of people really digging this. Worth a watch for sure if you want a unique approach to the subgenre. I can see liking it better on a rewatch.

Oh, Hi! is an interesting movie with a great central performance by Molly Gordon. Got a little too ridiculous by the end to keep me on board but I think there will be plenty this works for.

Whistle by Linwood Barclay is outstanding. Very different from his previous novels I’ve read and I love the new direction that he promises at the end he will continue.

Psycho II was released on this day in 1983. Did Psycho need a sequel? No. Is Psycho II a great film? Fucking yes it is!

I get to see Popcorn (1991) on the big screen tonight. Very excited. Hopefully I don’t go home in a box.
