Is there any sort of plan to have a federal department replace the current DoE? Would this just shift all power to individual states? What changes would happen on a local and state level if this DID somehow happen?

I think that means they stand for… money? 🫠 These are definitely very telling times right now. Universities need to make their moves carefully and thoughtfully.

Possibly. I do lobbying for healthcare organizations, but I had to have the wherewithal to find the nonprofits and alliances that do that work. Might be helpful even to have a list of organizations that have advocacy departments for people to contact.

Do you anticipate an increase in educational lobbying given the current political climate around education topics? Do you think this type of grassroots activism from teachers broadly speaking would be beneficial?
