Instead of a tax on unrealized gains, could there be a tax borrowing using unrealized gains as collateral? The tax would be on the borrowed amount, not the unrealized asset. What would be the downside here?

@juliemason.bsky.social. Great show today. I get so frustrated when Trump surrogates like Marc Lotter portray the Biden administration as a wartime presidency. The last 4 years have been some of the only ones in generations that US troops were not deployed in any warzone.

@juliemason.bsky.social are the protects effective in achieving the aims of the protesters? I can see it going either way - Biden wants this off the news and could pressure him to push for the ceasefire. On the other hand, the anti-semitism and naivety of the protesters could turn off the public

@juliemason.bsky.social Claudia Tenney making an association between crime rate and undocumented immigration is racist. Multiple studies have shown that undocumented people commit crimes at a lower rate than citizens. Plenty of reasons to be concerned about immigration, fear mongering isn't one.
