I've never been to #Capri, Italy, don't speak the #language. I haven't seen Faraglioni's towering rocks. I've worn capri leggings, but refuse to do any ironing. I have a photo of me in my Capricorn mum's iconic Ford Capri. A car built like iron - probably still in better nick than me.

I fell asleep in #history class, somewhere in the tudor period. I dreamt I was in a scene of Blackadder where there was a cunning plan of some kind or another. As usual, when I woke I remembered nothing - except the wicked side eye from my tutor as he spotted the drool on my chin.

At Sam's Academy the #education is unlearning.
So you make kids stupid?
No, we work smarter. Instead of adding numbers and working out the answer. We get the numbers to do it themselves. Or the kids spell words and then we add them to the dictionary, like lmnw: being touched by a ghost.

I was shopping for my #Halloween outfit and caught a glimpse of silver in the mirror. No problem, I had time, so I swung by Boots and grabbed some magic root retouch serum. How was I supposed to know real magic would leak through the thin veil as soon as the wand touched my hair?

Not many people know about Geppetto's other #experiment - pistachio. The boy whose peanut grew everytime he lied. That wooden pole grew so high, the only thing he could mate with was the hole in the sky. And she said no - cos how could she ever trust him?

My neighbours gathered outside, took snaps of the #heliacal rising of a bright star over the horizon. They wondered what it meant and if they should prepare for a flood. I had to let them down gently - this was no new star or herald of a new age. It was just my fever breaking.

The first time she danced in front of the mirror she was reluctant to watch herself. Was too self conscious. After a while she grew more confident and took a peek - was surprised to see her reflection dancing to a different beat. She didn't feel #terror though, it was a shiver of excitement. #vss365

She was so used to being #unseen, sliding between people's thoughts, creating arguments just for fun. Occasionally starting a new love tryst for kicks. When the cute guy stopped and asked her if she had the time, she felt a rush through her whole ethereal body like she was on fire.

When she was sick with no #energy, she liked to watch her son's favourite film. It reminded her of the time before he grew up and left home. She typed the first few letters into Netflix, was excited to see the title. Not available, watch other films like this? She turned the TV off.

There was something special about growing up on a farm. The way cows tipped their heads to the side when she walked by and trees leaned in to whisper secrets. Before she married the farmer next door, she read her leaves. Poured tea into the #saucer, not the cup. She saw a kite a good omen.

As a species we've had Mozart who composed from his pre school years. Da Vinci who painted the anatomically correct human body. Walton and Cockcroft who split the #atom. And you want to go to McDonald's for dinner on our first date? I was thinking something like the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
