Tonight my daughter has her best friend staying over + after we had dinner they both just chilled with me in the lounge. We chatted, watched tv, and generally hung out until like 11pm.
My friends and I never did that with our parents as teenagers.

I genuinely love working on Christmas Day (when my kid is at her dads) because the whole team brings in good snacks, we try and do late starts/early finishes, and everyone’s wearing red lipstick or a fun lil accessory. Even if it’s going pear shaped we all just band together more to get through it.
