The strawberries are fantastic, still plenty left for tomorrow & next weekend. Sweet Berry Farm is out beyond Marble Falls & to our surprise we drove by the locale our brown tabbies were found abandoned early this year (at the end of spring strawberry season).

Maybe the outdoor lads can be convinced to be wintertime indoor lads. We haven’t the right to keep them. They seem to be at peace with being indoors in this “cold” (single digit Celsius) weather.

I hated my first bread machine. I LOVE this one. Digital scale made all the difference…but good recipes help. Copycat steakhouse brown bread with too much cocoa (I spilled) smelled & handled like a tootsie roll candy while rising.

I hated my first bread machine. I LOVE this one. Digital scale made all the difference…but good recipes help. Copycat steakhouse brown bread with too much cocoa (I spilled) smelled & handled like a tootsie roll candy while rising.

My husband moved Lovebug indoors yesterday. He was a bundle of purrs & a lap boy for hours.
Today Vaquero clung to our windowsill & cried until he was also let in & reunited with his brother. He dislikes indoor life but he is bonded.
It doesn’t feel sustainable but we won’t evict.

My husband moved Lovebug indoors yesterday. He was a bundle of purrs & a lap boy for hours.
Today Vaquero clung to our windowsill & cried until he was also let in & reunited with his brother. He dislikes indoor life but he is bonded.
It doesn’t feel sustainable but we won’t evict.

I bought bread machine yeast. I regret this. The last two loaves have collapsed with no other alterations. Anyone hand baking wants a nearly full jar?

The preschool suggested we draw hopscotch grids to fill in the Thanksgiving break time at home. I expected preschooler to lose focus at maybe six, not persevere & fill the grid! The literalism of writing ‘twenty-one” as “20 1” made me smile (from a distance, as this was under guidance from Big Kids)

I’m sorry I had to crop the meal planner board of Monday & the accomplishment of “[child] cooked ketchup mince! 😋” Stirring, browning onions & then meat, seasoning, cooking ketchup separately to thicken it. I handled stove controls & pasta making. Cheap student food.

Our indoor cats have begun mutual grooming at last! Did they mature into it? Snuggle in the cold snap but realize sibling smells Wrong? Become jealous & increase the mutual scent in response to the outdoor cats bonding into two pairs? I’m grateful.

As Dharma promised, a purple without a halo of blue pigment! Touches of black to break up the monochrome & touches of leftover fuchsia. I didn’t tie tightly enough for clear geode lines but am happy with the diamonds which formed in between tiny spirals on the sleeve. #tiedye

I had to put the mewborns somewhere while changing the cloths in their den! My, but I didn’t know how much they would pee. Seven sweetlings! Two calicos, two dilute oranges (one solid, one tuxedo), one dilute gray tuxedo (girl?…), two stripey grays (one tinged with brown, boys?…)

T-shirts from Old Navy do not discharge dye with bleach very much, if at all. I’m impressed but also wondering how this will influence how the dye sits over unbleached gray. I applied the powders & the preschooler irrigated with hot water while supervising. This time preschooler kept clean. #tiedye

Earlier today he was trying to suckle on one of the TNR half-grown cats. Such patience the big one had, just scooped in his nearest brother for washing.
