Just mentioned this today in classes. The difference is 2k for ~305 million (remove top 10% of americans) is 600 billion. Tariffs will generate ~300 billion this year. Obviously we have enough tariff $ to fund the whole govt and give 2k to each non-rich person. I support this wealth redistribution

But, if you send money directly to the people, who are they going to buy insurance from? Insurance companies would be my guess.
If trump really wants to fuck them over people could send their money to the government and have government run healthcare. That'll show those damn greedy companies
