The Scandinavian connection is a bit tenuous (lack of ringing data or observations on the east coast) and we know their main movement is down through mainland Europe (there are some huge counts through Alpine passes etc). Ours pass SW and some leave out to sea from Dorset and Devon, to France/Iberia

Oh no! If it's any slight consolation, the WTEs hoovered up sick Barnacles on Islay when flu hit, and as far as I know there was no obvious impact on them
