Nimes, France, so impressed with the public spaces and lovely use of water to create calm and cool areas, this reminded me of what we’re missing, Nottingham people will understand!

Dog whistle from the Nottingham Post, what a foul rag it is

How cool is this, on a train in Switzerland 🇨🇭relaxed seating area. Their public transport is wonderfully integrated, felt quite green with envy

Just watched two of Nottingham’s greatest citizens, Torvill & Dean, in their Last Dance, very emotional. A wonderful evening at the Motorpoint Arena

Seen in Split, Croatia, solar benches with charging facilities, unfortunately if the bench is full of seated people it doesn’t charge 😆

Seen in Korcula, Croatia 🇭🇷- thought this was a great idea - the entrance ticket to the local museum incorporates a postcard

Just back from interrail trip through 9 countries to Croatia, most in the EU. The level of investment evident is huge and the quality of design is stunning, and not just in the big cities. We are lagging behind

The broad beans done good. Easiest grow your own, put in the ground in autumn, forget them, water/feed in spring, harvest.

Had some great times working with hard working and committed Officers at Nottingham City Council. Meetings with the Parks team were memorably positive (particularly compared with the other mad stuff we were dealing with). This is my retirement gift from them, looking fab today, lovely reminder

This lovely wild flower, Common Yellow Wood Sorrel, has taken over the cracks in our patio and gives me much joy, with its tiny yellow flowers beaming up at me while I’m having a cuppa

More from @msf.ca working in Benin to reduce the risk of pregnancy and childbirth. They’re also working in high risk situations in Darfur and the DRC delivering desperately needed healthcare

Received my latest copy of Despatches for supporters of @msf.ca chilling news from Gaza inevitably

Just picked some flowers for pressing for granddaughter’s crafty stuff. Did a few last year and she loved them

Been a good day, interesting chat over a cuppa with @cllrjhayes.bsky.social, a stroll through the magnificent Green Heart, then listening to Yr1 & 2 pupils at Southwold Primary talking about the Great Fire of London - do you enjoy history? “I love it”!

Think this describes them pretty well, a bunch of spivs!

Glad to be at Green Hustle today in Nottingham’s Old Market Square. We were talking about @nottsca.bsky.social and our Youth Panel encouraging young people to get involved and shape the agenda for the future

NHS Bowel Cancer testing time. The instructions always make me smile “we only need a little poo to test - please do not add extra!” 😄

Lots happening for cycling families in Nottingham this weekend

I like this visual representation of our domestic energy consumption. Demonstrates both the impact of rising temperatures and the benefits of solar PV. It doesn’t include feed-in to the grid, some of which we get paid for by FIT

Been reflecting today on the dire Labour leadership of Remain. Corbyn nationally & Collins in Nottingham disengaged. Collins said he wasn’t knocking on any doors, a few of us soldiered on. With decent leaders we could have won & avoided the Brexit disaster & letting the far right out of the box

Lovely to see the refurbished Paddling Pool at Victoria Embankment, Nottingham re-opened by the new Sheriff of Nottingham, Cllr Zafran Khan, today. Well done to the Parks team. Can’t wait to take my granddaughters!

I spent £400 on a little greenhouse 5 years ago. It’s one of my best buys ever. It’s crammed full of potential tasty treats - tomatoes, Chilis, cucumbers, strawberries, basil. It has pulled me out of the doldrums! #growyourown
