Disciple of Jesus, Husband, Dad and car nut. Industrial Designer by training, but I've spent 25+ years doing design engineering.
I learned to drive in a Mandarin Orange and Light Buckskin 1977 Cutlass.

It was so nice. 😄

I typically go when I need to, not just to see what I can find. Recent past that's been to fix kids cars. I've put noses on 2 Proteges and an Escort. 😄

Were you after something or just browsing?

Also, I finished those switches and 3 more. I've got 12 more plus 10 outlets to do.

I'm doing replacing electric switches and none of the old ones have grounds connected. 😡

Wanna trade?

Post a car you think is a real turkey.

(Thanks to @venomlance.bsky.social for the inspiration.)

A deer induced @bustedride.bsky.social. My daughter's car from 13 years ago.

This.

I'm not bitter about it or anything, I just immediately remembered this 2 year old screen shot. 😄

My backup daily 2001 Tundra. It's my work truck and salt and snow daily. With the Stealth down for most of the year, it was pressed into full daily duty and has never skipped a beat.

It crossed 340K miles this week, 17K put on this year.

Here's one from my current hometown, Columbus.

A movie that takes place where you’re from.

Huh, this is a 2025 Hulu movie set in Toledo, Ohio.

My daughter has an identical Scion iM. Hers has N7 badges that I've not been able to figure out.

My HS 1976 Camaro was a similar green (and rust), but with a black interior. The terrible pictures don't do it justice.

Also, dad bought a 1977 Cutlass Supreme and considered this spec, but ended up with Mandarin Orange and Light Buckskin.
November 23, 2025 at 2:14 AM
I imagine the interior space is larger in part because of the foot of extra wheelbase. The CRV is longer, wider and taller, though.

I spec'd a new C8 as close as I could and it was $2,500 less, before the buyer's premium.

But no minty green.

Reskeet with a time you looked cool.

Yes, it's been over 30 years since I looked cool.
November 21, 2025 at 1:38 AM
That's funny, I went to design school too. I drifted to design engineering instead.

When I was at a design consultancy I worked on this.

Neon and waves, classic 80s / 90s hot rod graphics.

I did something like that with pinstripes on my 1980 Monza around 1990. Not exactly a hot rod, but I thought it looked good.

A couple of years later dad traded the Chevy on this 1974 Dodge Maxiwagon TEC camper van.

Summer of 1973 we went west including a visit with my uncle, who had moved to LA. Pic of me and him with his 1964 Corvette.

We drove out and camped in the newly acquired 1972 Chevy van. Dad built a Bed / dinette in the back and curtains - instant camper.

Winter of 1973. This 1953 Chrysler Windsor was Dad's daily for several years so mom could drive the nicer, but looking worn, Barracuda. They just bought the 1972 Chevy window van in the background, so the Chrysler was to be sold.

Yours truly and my younger sister in the one shot.

Camping, summer of 1970. I was 2 1/2.

Mom and dad dailied this until 1982.

Dad liked photographing his car. At a friend's apartment in Troy Ohio.
November 15, 2025 at 5:31 PM
Back at it. My uncle and his then girlfriend with his 1964 Corvette. Bought new, he owned it until his death earlier this year. Dad's Barracuda is the background.

Post the last four games you played. 😂

Evidently there was no budget at Kroger to buy any vowels.
