My son is 15 I never bought him a pride onesie when he was a baby. I never read him a book that had two moms as part of the storyline. When he was little stores and businesses didn't have LGBTQ+ displays and we didn't celebrate pride month. He was raised Catholic, and went to church. Guess what? He is gay. The rainbow won't make your kids gay. They are born that way. A display in a store won't make your kid trans, they are born that way. If you don't love and accept them for who they are, YOU are a shitty parent. They haven't failed, you have.

You have the right to ask questions, and demand accountability. 2. RECORD THE INTERACTION Hold your cell phone visibly and begin recording. Let them see that you are documenting everything. Write time, date, exact location. Timestamp arrival and exit. 3. ASK FOR IDENTIFICATION CLEARLY Look the agent in the eyes and say: "Identify yourself as a real officer." 4. REQUEST BADGE AND SERIAL NUMBER Firmly state: "I need your badge number and serial number." Agents are required to provide this information. If they avoid or refuse to answer, continue to press the issue. 5. PREPARE TO CONTACT 911 If the individual refuses to identify themselves after two direct requests, begin dialing 911. 6. REPORT SUSPECTED IMPERSONATION Tell the dispatcher: "There is a man here impersonating a law enforcement officer and he is armed." This creates an official record and ensures immediate response. 7. KNOW WHY THIS MATTERS There have been instances where individuals were harmed or even killed by people impersonating law enforcement. Transparency saves lives.
