I agree. It is time for the older generation to step aside and allow the younger generation navigate a new path. Hopefully they will do a much better job then we did.

I have a feeling he is retiring at the end of his term. Originally he was only going to serve one term and then step down. He isn't up for reelection in 2026 and I think they deliberately had those who weren't running in 2026 vote with the GOP.

Sadly, many people feel that the Dems "caved" to better position themselves rather than doing what was right for the people. Until then many will suffer with no health care. the GOP might pay next year, but until then many will suffer.

I have always voted since I turned 18. My HS Government teacher told us if we don't vote we don't have a right to bitch. I wasn't about to give up that right! I have never missed an election. My first election was 1980. Sadly, many people don't feel as strongly about voting.

My Senator @kaine.senate.gov was one of the cowards that caved. Apparently he slept well last night. Unfortunately those who will die due to lack of health care aren't going to sleep as well. Neither will those of us who love democracy and have just watched our senators hand it over to a dictator.

I left him a voicemail and sent him an email. So did my husband. I told him I hope those who die because they won't have health insurance haunt him for the rest of his life.

I have a close work colleague/friend who had a baby a couple of years ago and I am Aunty Cindy to her beautiful baby girl. No relation at all, just good friends.

I think a lot of the folks here got it right. He is probably building a huge bunker underneath his ballroom. And he does like gold and gaudy.

I voted first day voting opened up in Virginia. I know we can't take Jason Miyares or Earle-Sears. If D's are that stupid they are just as bad as the Rs.

The White House is only 55,000 sq ft. A ballroom that is 90,000 sq ft and is significantly larger than a football field. The ballroom at Versailles was only 8,000 sq ft. There is no way it’s "just a ballroom" - He is building himself a new palace.
