Found the loss of power issue. Now have to find out why one cylinder is not firing.

The storms over Philippines and Taiwan are making some lovely cloud patterns in Thailand

Another beautiful start to the day. Engine issues keeping me dockside but hey no rush when life is this good.

First time in years the main and stay sails have come out. A really big tick in the refit box. Head sail coming out soon. Almost there.

Another beautiful morning

During this mornings >35 knot storm one of my dock lines shredded. A quick solution was needed to secure the boat. After the storm passed all dock lines were revisited and adjusted. Should be good for the next wave of wind and rain.

This morning did not disappoint. It promises to be a lovely day to do outside boat jobs. Reseating some fittings and perhaps a clean up.

A beautiful start to the day. I love this time of the morning when it is quiet and cool. Soon the sun will heat things up.

New diesel tanks going in. Will be putting a fuel polishing and transfer system in. It’s a good investment to have a fuel polishing system when sailing remotely in Asia.

Let’s see how the world looks in 6 months. I believe things will be better. They should be as the refit will be complete and I will be retired again (3rd attempt)

One reason I love sailing around Asia is the most amazing sunsets and sunrises. #phuket #sailboat #sunset

Remembering the time I was hiding from a nasty weather front for 3 days. Picked up a mooring ball which I normally don’t do but needed to so I could be more sheltered in the >40 knots of wind. Was just 50m from a reef but mooring was secure the whole time.

Sailing people. What are you sailing? Where? 1982 Kaufman and Ladd 47’ center cockpit cutter rigged previously sailing Thailand and Malaysia and will splash again very soon after a long refit.

Real time update. Hull has a few small blisters that need taking care of as part of the refit. A few more months and she will be splashed.

A flash back to when I enjoyed speed. #Ducati #Sepang

The only thing that scares me on my boat is #lighting. Around these parts it’s common but still will never be comfortable when the storms roll through. #sailingasia

After the rain a beautiful show by Mother Nature. #sailboat #rainbow

Power of the wind. Sailing 6 knots in 14 knots true. It’s a magical feeling. Next anchorage just a few miles away.

Sunrise over tropical islands. It’s always worth an early start. #sunrise #tropical
