Pushing the idea as a way to address the housing shortage is idiotic.
It ain’t gonna work!
Perhaps raping our forests, and destroying our watersheds (and salmon in the PNW) would add some cheap lumber.
Most places are un-buildable, there are no water rights, and Rural counties will suffer. 2/2

I live in the shrub steppe os Washington State.
Trees don’t naturally grow where we are. But I’ve got three fruit trees. We have to be careful not to harbor insect pests that can damage commercial orchards- apples and cherries- all around us.
