I made peace years ago that Metroid was a great game made by people really hyped by Alien and that can't have a proper sequel because nobody in Nintendo understands what makes the original work.

Estos días ando jugando a la playdate descubriendo juegos experimentales, artesanales y con estéticas muy personales.
Luego echo un vistazo a las noticias y es todo grandes estudios despidiendo a sus empleados para hacer los juegos de siempre con IA generativa.
Es un contraste desconcertante.

I'm struggling with the 1 bit display of the playdate. I'm used to bigger color palettes.
Having only black and white means having to deal with dithering and I'm so bad at it 😅

The 90s were filled with hundreds of poorly designed games that are unplayable nowadays.
Even a lot of the "good ones" are missing QoL features.
Many were designed to prevent rentals from hurting sales, artificial difficulty, not players first.
Now we have more diversity than ever in the industry.

Los medios y juntaletras q intentan vivir del ragebait no deberían ser recompensados por este tipo de conducta.
Me encanta como en el 2025 seguimos usando el masculino por defecto para referirnos a ambos sexos, menos cuando toca pedir señorA de la limpieza. Ahí tenemos claro q no seremos señores.

Un nuevo titular de "es que la gente no quiere trabajar". Pero de pronto te encuentras con un "no ofrecemos jornada completa porque NO LES DARÍA TIEMPO". Pinta a que pide desplazarse entre varias ubicaciones pero no cuenta los desplazamientos como tiempo de trabajo. Y así normal que nadie quiera.
