PSJ is proud to collaborate with community partners to shift the culture of community supervision. Through our advocacy for the Family Sentencing Alternative Program (FSAP) and Senate Bill 581's Earned Discharge Program, we are advancing solutions that achieve meaningful accountability and healing.

FSAP is a smart, cost-effective solution that helps parents remain with their children while staying accountable for harm. After operating as a pilot program for 10 yrs, FSAP became permanent this year with the passage of HB 2555 — huge thanks to our advocates and community partners!

With the near-unanimous passage of HB 2555, the Family Sentencing Alternative Program (FSAP) is now a permanent part of Oregon’s criminal justice system! Now, FSAP will be able to serve more families and provide culturally specific services when applicable.

PSJ's Advocacy Day was powerful. PSJ supporters from across the state — from Medford to Gresham — came to the Oregon State Capitol. Together, we showed lawmakers what’s at stake: keeping families together, protecting treatment and recovery services, and investing in healing.
