"It would take a great deal of naivete to believe it was merely a coincidence that once the Lebanon cease-fire was completed, the experts at Quai d'Orsay suddenly discovered that... Netanyahu potentially enjoys immunity." www.haaretz.com/israel-news/...
France got a Lebanon cease-fire – but did it give Netanyahu a 'get out of jail free' card?

Here we go!

We in Iran have a violent police force, but Russia is the utopia of a group of Iranians. I'm expecting some Russophiles in Iran to come out and say this wasn't Russian police, but the MKO of Russia!
Interesting how official media in Iran are silent about the barbaric behavior of the Russian police towards the Iranian students who were violently arrested in Kazan!
Iran's Consulate has sent a note of protest to the Russian MFA over the matter.

The IAEA Board of Governors has passed a resolution condemning #Iran and demanding the drafting of a comprehensive report be drafted as to Iran's breaches and lack of cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog.

This report could serve to build a case for snapback sanctions.

Signs of despair could be seen all over Iran FM's interview with Al Mayadeen.

"The nuclear file has faced significant complications, compared to the past. Our ties with the 5+1 are not the same as before. I don't think there is an opportunity to sit together at the negotiating table," says Araghchi

Hearing that major changes might happen soon in the Supreme National Security Council of Iran. Speculations for now which cannot be verified, but, could very well be true.

Iran's envoy to international organizations in Vienna says the censure resolution was passed regardless of Grossi's trip to Tehran, adding "promises made (to Grossi) were fulfilled."

Does that mean Iran designated 4 IAEA inspectors on the spot and capped its stockpile while Grossi was there?

So Russia may have just used an intercontinental ballistic missile, with conventional warheads and possibly multiple independently targetable reentry vehicle (MIRV).

Sounds like a pricey way to send a message.

Hardliners in Tehran are pushing for withdrawal from the NPT, should the E3-backed resolution pass.
Multiplying the number of IR-6 centrifuges could also be an option.

Extensive and intensive lobbying from Iran's FM to stop the E3-backed resolution against Iran. I'm not on good terms with the Foreign Ministry but Araghchi should be commended for his job as FM. He has exceeded expectations.

It seems that Iran has rejected reports of the Musk-Iravani meeting due to domestic pressure from hardliners. A member of the Iranian Parliament's presidium has expressed concern over the news of the meeting, saying the govt should immediately take a position in this regard.

Khamenei always employs Ali Larijani in difficult times. Case in point was when China nearly bowed out of signing 25-year comprehensive document with Tehran, as they didn't consider Zarif a decision-maker. Khamenei appointed Larijani as his Special Aide to negotiate with China with full authority.

Great article on the tensions between Russia and Iran in the South Caucasus
Russia and Iran Vie for Influence in the Caucasus Region
In the volatile Caucasus region, Russia and Iran, often seen as united in their aims, are vying to secure trade routes and influence. That leaves Western countries facing an unusual dilemma.
