Breaks in the rain clouds lit up the last wave of autumn leaves along the shore, making them glow against the gray sky and dark waters. Lucky for me, the heavy rain held off until I was back inside.

The grasses of the wetlands dry and go to seed in the autumn, making a wide, rustling field in the midst of the trees. The birds were active here too.

I interrupted my daily walk today to spend about an hour sketching Swains Pond. The clouds kept rolling by overhead, dimming the whole landscape and then returning it to glowing, brilliant splashes of autumn leaves.

While the weather was amazing yesterday, we went to a wildlife sanctuary that's just north of Boston. The birds were very active, flitting about from tree to tree and calling to each other.

The mind horse has traditionally been depicted standing in a puddle of water or a lake.
A short pencil sketch on a peach-colored sticky note. There's a horse-like creature facing left with one of its four legs raised out of the water. The horse-like is pale and its excessive main and tail are dark. Its expression is somewhere between wide-eyed wonder and determined determination.

Started on some overview photographs of Innovation Ultimate while the sun was out today. See the shiny pattern on the box? You'll never guess how many lamps I had to move around my non-photography studio to make that happen. :D

Anyway, my work is the sepia tone drawings on the age 1-11 cards. #art

I took the tripod out with the camera to watch the #aurora over Massachusetts tonight. Most of it was very subtle, but everything lit up for about five minutes.
Thin vertical lines streak up into the night sky like a reverse waterfall. The base of the stripes is green, and the top is a pink. Black silhouettes of low trees grow on the horizon, and everything is reflected on the surface of the mirror-smooth pond below.
