But there's an upside, folks! This Texas-sized bird could start a new food craze. Just think, Brinkmanns will have to invent an entirely new Big Bird pit to smoke this sucker in. A lot of good-paying jobs might be created. Will it taste like chicken? You can bet the birds will ask the same about us.

Still, something positive is afoot. Egg prices are down in San Antonio this week compared with late February. That’s hopeful, but still bears further scrutiny. I don’t but these eggs until they’re around $2.50.

Ron Botello leads three-dozen people in a prayer as they mark Pearl Harbor Day. Those here, one of them Sharon Anderson and Wayne Plattt, are families of the combatants — all of them dead. ‘We will do this as long as we can do this,’ Botello said after one man asked that they meet in perpetuity.
