I always find it interesting how the story changes when a lawyer gets to court. They can say anything they want outside of court without accountability but the rules are vastly different in court where you can get seriously penalized for lying.

Reporting on this story was interesting because it forced me to check my own biases. I'm as anti-gun as they come, but my personal feelings couldn't get in the way of accurately sharing the facts. There's a story to be written about the morality of guns at protests, but this isn't that story.
