I suspect it's more of numbness to what makes us anxious. No awareness of the treacherous world they inhabit.

Considering we spent a few hundred thousand years in tight knit communities of a couple hundred tribe mates, the sudden 'every man for themselves' whiplash definitely has abandony vibes to it.

It's more of the natural result of sensitive ± intelligent (genetic) individuals having cognitive bottle necks and nervous system trauma.

Lot of folks are insulted from criticism and critiques, probably haven't been corrected since high school by an authority figure, and common Joes just don't have the "authority" to correct someone
Plus tone plays a big role. It's easy to accidentally come off as rude to folks who don't get our vibe
