What's striking about capitalist civilization is that it has no real direction. There's no vision for social progress, no commitment to improving human welfare or ecology. All we get is the chaos of profit-oriented production and accumulation as the world burns around us.

I would probably go so far as to argue that there isn’t really anything redeemable that is uniquely American. Every good thing that exists here exists somewhere else. However we domestically possess unique horrors and atrocities and export them to the global south to maintain economic dominance.

It’s not that kindness and equality and dignity don’t exist in any American because they do. However these are HUMAN values that exist in opposition to the values of the USA. This country was founded by men who owned people so they could expand their genocidal aspirations and human trafficking.

Trump is what a true American looks like to everyone who is not a white American. Ask Indigenous people, ask Black people, ask the global south.

Warmongering, genocide, rape, exploitation, racism, deception. These are Trump’s characteristics but also the tools that built America and it’s economy.
This is not what a true American looks like. This is what a Russian asset looks like—a disgrace to our country.

This rhetoric is disgusting to me as a Lakota. Why are white liberals always more attached to “America” than actual progress? The soul of America is genocidal. National parks were created to steal our homelands.

Can’t we make our vision of equality bigger than patriotism for a very evil country?
This is not what America looks like. We are fighting. We are speaking up. They keep coming for us, but we will never back down. We will redeem the soul of America.

Wrapping up a couple weeks of skiing in Canada and not sure how I feel about coming back across the imaginary line into full blown fascism… will I still want to ski or just be civilly disobedient?

IMHO, A big reason institutional racism persists is not because of the racists, but because of the “well meaning” yt people 🤷🏽‍♀️

We’re all cooked unless we realize that the “left and right” they’ve offered us are just two feet taking steps for the same fascist body.

I always forget that you can’t just type “mom” into a search bar on an app when she needs to see a meme.

Anyways, you should try to radicalize your parents, the values they taught you to embody will be your best weapon.

Solving a problem is about imagining solutions and focusing on what they are made of so you know how to identify the components when you find them in the world. Then you are prepared to say yes to the opportunity if it arises. (General strikes, guillotines, LandBack, universal healthcare)

How much almond milk do you have to churn to get almond butter?

Are you more attached to the future outcome of your own life? Or the future life of all people? The future life of all beings?
