I wish she was wrong but a lifetime in tech tells me she is not. I have witnessed the most childish, inappropriate, unprofessional behaviour from men in tech so many times, and it was given a pass because they were good at programming. I was never afforded the same grace as a woman.

i’ve been banging this drum for so long i can’t believe it’s finally happened! the ability for company directors to withhold private addresses is a vital step to encouraging a more diverse slate of candidates in governance.
IT PASSED!!!
The Bill passed with the full support of ALL parties, which is a rare and lovely thing.
Huge congratulations to @beefaerie.bsky.social for successfully uniting the House behind the Bill.
It WILL make a difference and I’m so proud to have been a part of it.
#nzpol
If anyone is interested … ‘my’ old bill, the Companies (Address information) Amendment Bill is in the House right now for its third reading.
Thank you so much to Hon Dr Deborah Russell @beefaerie.bsky.social for working so long and hard to get the bill to this stage.
Now, PASS!!! 🤞🏼
