At times like this, controling the feeling of inevitability around a particular future becomes a very hot commodity. The downward spiral we are confronted with can be diverted with enough confidence that there is a different path to move along. That feeling can be introduced from the top or bottom.

I have genuinely never been more embarrassed to be American. They are defining what America is to the rest of the world, and unless each of us is content with being a petty, greedy, thug who does what they're told by the bosses, then we have to stand up and ensure that is not the country we live in
