Today's Gardening Advice: If you're looking for fall color in a shrub, I highly recommend the Oakleaf Hydrangea. It has white flowers that turn pink, rough green foliage, and is a U.S. native. Prefers part sun and compost added to soil. In fall it develops red, burgundy, orange, and yellow leaves. 🌱

Today's Gardening Advice: Each year we get at least a couple customers asking for the value of established landscape plants. The basic answer is: nothing. The more complicated answer is: It depends.

Our patient did well today. She snacked this morning, but then ate with gusto around lunch time. She did some preening, some stretching, and lots of resting. Doesn't seem uncomfortable, like yesterday, and I'm sure she'll enjoy being inside during all the rain tomorrow.
