I think it makes plenty of sense from the Mets perspective, Semien just won a Gold Glove at 2B and it frees up the outfield to be more athletic around Soto and potentially even to move Soto to left field. Additionally you can now look into trading McNeil for a bullpen arm

I haven't played the 1.0 update yet but I sunk a bunch of hours into my early access play-through and had a great time and am really looking forward to checking out all the new content
