The White House says their peace plan didn’t come from Russia — the problem is it reads like Putin’s wishlist. We need a deal to end the war that actually protects Ukraine and doesn’t reward the war criminal who started this.

This is what I’ll never understand. If you’ve been chased out of your profession because of bad behavior (i.e. “cancelled”), then wouldn’t that mean getting a new profession?

Like if a lawyer or a doctor gets “cancelled,” they have to go do something else.
If people are paying to see you do the very thing you were cancelled for… perhaps there are two forms of cancellation

We’re plagued by the kind of “business idiot” bosses who regard questions like “what are we even trying to do here, and why are we doing it?” as shameful navel-gazing on the company dime
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?

no instead of spending time on the interesting ideas of all the people who didn't do these things, we have to watch the people who did these things get like eleventy chances to redeem themselves because the media wants us to

what if redemption was actually just letting someone else have the chance

I'm not giving the article more press, but what I actually expect to happen when a "comedian" is revealed to have committed vile acts of sexual harassment and stolen content he claimed to have created is for them to have to pursue another career.

And what I want is for them to Go. Away.

Once again, terfs are white supremacists and their goal is to soft pedal white supremacy.

Its trans ppl today, but its non white cis women, disabled women, fat women, basically any woman who doesn't fit a white supremacist fever dream next

And yall allowed it bc "but surely they don't mean me!"
Fixed it for you. Idiots! If the exclusion is based on appearance then it will certainly impact cis folks as well as trans folks.

"it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed"

This.

This right here.

I'm so, SO tired of having to scrutinize any piece of art that even remotely resembles genAI slop just to determine whether or not it's worth a second thought or any admiration.
Why am I so against generative AI in games?

Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

Acquaint yourself with the major antisemitic conspiracy theories.

Don't automatically discount it when left Jews tell you that you've done a dogwhistle, even if you didn't intend it.
