I wish you much more than luck.
When living in Moulien,France - Samuel Beckett was offering lifts to school to some of the local children, among them potentially was André Rene Roussimoff who grew up to become Andre the Giant
Man, everything is so bleak, anyone got a fun fact or little bit of trivia they want to share

I had taken a hiatus from Bluesky for a long time as I was dealing with personal issues, finding it hard to rediscover my voice on Twitter so I’m hoping that by posting here a little more meaningfully again it gives me an outlet.

Nothing too deep, just books, movies, recipes and the like.

Twitter back down again is it?

Everyone in Ballymena needs to wise the fuck up and go the fuck home.

PSNI are weaponising their inadequacy, may as well be colluding.

Read "Tender is the flesh" last week, don't think I'll read it again.

Made me some combination of queasy, uneasy and sad.

Finding it very hard to get any meaningful reading done lately

Watched Nosferatu yesterday at home after seeing it in the cinema a few weeks ago and there's so much that gets lost on the smaller screen

The only thing saving me from the end of Mad Men is the knowledge I can move straight on to the Sopranos

One day very soon I'll stop thinking of additional things to make for Christmas.

I question if I really need to make a focaccia for boxing day sandwiches.

The answer remains yes

I hate when an author repeatedly mentions a trusty Steed/Mount/Animal Companion by name, you know in 4 books they're gonna have the most horrific demise.

20 years ago I knew a guy who worked part time, minimum wage, as a dishwasher.

He was able to afford rent and a car (both shitty but functional), concerts, weed, etc.

It's interesting to think of how that kind of dirtbag lifestyle is mostly just gone.

Have made a real conscious effort to reduce my screen time this year, in lieu of that I'd like to get away from the bird app more.

2 of my main group chats are there which is the only strong link I feel like I still have to the place.

It's just dawned on me that I'm cooking Christmas dinner for the second time in my life. First time was for four.

This time it's for fifteen.

The gold by Manchester orchestra is the first song to make me want to pick up a guitar in around 18 months and of course it's in a weird ass time signature

Amorim has licence to experiment tonight, nobody expects united to get a result. Could be a good opportunity for him to find out a few things.

Very much enjoying mad men, the premise of it reminds me a fair bit of American Pastoral by Phillip Roth
