Feel free to ask me any questions, and I'll also happily run through practice interviews. I literally just interviewed and hired some new help desk people at my current job earlier this year.

Help desk is a great place to start because you get exposed to the rest of IT, since a lot of their work will funnel through you. You can take that chance to decide what sounds interesting to pursue for your career. The salaries and quality of life grow quickly once you get past help desk!

The rest is general professional skills.

- Have people with industry experience review your resume and conduct practice interviews.

- Have a nice outfit for interviewing (most places are business casual these days).

- Be clean and well-groomed (your space too if interviewing from home).

Depending on your financial situation, it might not make sense to actually GET the A+, because it costs a few hundred dollars to take the test. I never got mine! I absorbed all of the knowledge and put "currently studying for the A+" on my resume, and could speak to my skills in interviews.

Study the A+. It contains all of the basic knowledge somebody should have in order to work on a help desk, such as basic computer and troubleshooting fundamentals. It takes between 1-3 months to study for, depending on your prior knowledge and time commitment.

Ooh ok, this is my specialty! I've helped four people break into IT and get their first IT jobs by taking the same route I did. All of us started out making between $30k-$55k a year.

TLDR:
Study the A+.
Get interview & resume help.
Present yourself well.
Admit when you don't know something.

Train up my puppy girl and use it as a strap-on when I need a break. She loves green so the glow will get her excited.

I'm in the crowd chanting "do it!" regardless of if it's on main or another account. Your style rocks and so do dragons (I'm biased on the latter).

Pyro/Dark with a Fire-infused Rapier is actually my go-to! :)

Powerstancing and the incredible feel of a pyromancer run keep me coming back time and time again.

Once the Seamless Co-op mod is finished for DS2, I'm going to live in it for a while.

Left field pick: Outward.

The writing and characters aren't anything special but they've captured the distilled essence of adventure in a way that gripped me like few other games. It's definitely way better with a friend (it has two-player co-op).

Seconded. It's so charming and delightful.

Obligatory "not a doctor but" have you checked your vitamin D lately? My testosterone was in a similar place until I addressed low D and a few months later it was going strong. Adding in some light working out likely helped too.
