Walking to work vs taking the bus to work.
This shows that my morning walk started at 9:01 a.m., it took 44 minutes and was 5014 steps according to Google fit. This shows my 2 options to take the bus to work. The first requires me to leave my apartment at 9:19, walk to the 9, and take it to Mumford terminal, then walk 25 minutes for a total trip time of 40 minutes. The second option requires I leave at 9:12, walk to the 24, take it for 18 minutes, then walk for 21 minutes. Both options cost money and save me 3 or 4 minutes compared to walking.

This is a notice that Tiktok removed a comment I made on a video. It says: "Comment removed. This comment violates our Community Guidelines. Comment details: "This Vault Boy Bobblehead gives -4 to intelligence". Violation Reason: Community Guidelines. Your content is against our community guidelines. The guidelines include rules and standards for using tiktok that apply to everyone and everything on our platform. See Community Guidelines." My comment had been posted to a video of a person wearing a costume that was meant to be a caricature of Donald Trump. It was a person with an oversized head topped with bright yellow hair, and was wearing a blue suit. The costume was unintentionally reminiscent of the Vault boy bobbleheads from the Fallout games. In the game, you find them in the open world and when you collect one it gives a small stat bonus, such as increased gun skills, or higher strength. The video I was commenting on is not represented in my post here in any way.

I would love to shop there, but I don't have a car, so parking is no value to me, and it's 3 hours by bus. It's not like I could do all my shopping in one go since there's not much else around, so it's extremely not worth the trip for me. For contrast, Google is telling me it's 23 minutes by car.

Hot of the heels of Halifax wanting a staff report on litter in the city, this bus stop used to have a garbage can on it but it's apparently been removed, along with the bracket. Not sure if it was intentional or not, but the cart has been repurposed as a trash bin, largely for McDonald's trash.
It's a sidewalk with a power pole. On the power pole is a bus stop sign. A few meters from the pole is a shipping cart full of garbage. In the background are a couple buildings with cars parked out front.

This is what the city thinks of people who don't drive.
The only sidewalk on Herring Cove Rd is closed while heavy machinery dug up the street to install water for a building being constructed on the other side of the road. There is a dump truck and a large excavator in the street, and a small excavator on the sidewalk. Caution tape runs across the sidewalk and is tied to a large sign advertising some businesses. On the far side of the sign is an opening, not quite as large as a standard door, before a fence begins. People who wanted to pass had to walk up a small grassy mound and then descend a curb, into a parking lot, passing through the small gap between the sign and fence. This is Spryfield, a place that has many people with mobility issue. Keep in mind, there is no sidewalk on the other side to cross to, and they were directing traffic to the shoulder where people would have walked anyway.

I really want to know what this crosswalk on Herring Cove is supposed to be, like, where does the sidewalk go here?
It's a crosswalk on Herring Cove Rd, but it starts at a lamp post. There was a part of a sidewalk that just fades into the street, with no defined corner separating the sidewalk where it meets two intersecting roads.

I found some old Café Olé flyers from around 1996. Some stand out acts include Hate Brain, Straight 8 Deluxe, The Chitz, Rusty, Classified, The King Pins, Hip Club Groove, Lavender, The Wankin Family, The Queers, The Grace Babies, Plum Tree, and Stinkin' Rich
5 raggedy strips of paper, all different colours. Green, yellow, purple, white, pink, all showing dates and lists of the bands playing on that particular date. Café Olé was the hottest all ages club in Halifax, maybe even east of Montreal. For hiphop to grunge to punk, they had something to make you want to dance. I can still remember my very first show there. $5 cover don't forget to get Gary to stamp your hand so you can get back in if you leave. 5 raggedy strips of paper, all different colours. Apparently this outage has been much longer than any of us realized.
NSPower outage map lists an outage as having begun at 6:23 am on Monday, but the actual start time was approximately 9:25 pm. Cause is still a car accident.

This xwalk was just installed at the end of October. It's 6 months old and barely visible. I would think now would be an important time to make it visible to drivers since it's so new. It's also in the middle of a larger main road, Windsor St, not at a major intersection.

My large white and grey cat, Zooey, sitting in a tray of cat grass I grew for them. He's easily as large as the tray, which is use for starting seeds in the spring before planting. He decided it would make a comfy place to perch rather than eating it.

It's a small pedestrian pathway and all the tree branches are heavy with fresh, pure white snow. The branches hang overhead under it's weight. The dark brown of a tree's large trunk, and the lighter brown of a wooden fence, are really all that contrasts against the snow

Check out my jugs
Finished my mead. 3Kg of Canadian honey, 454g of Canadian strawberries, 1 cup Canadian blueberries, 3 oranges. This was fermented and then aged 6 months. It's 2 large glass jugs of a beautiful amber coloured liquid. It's somewhere around 25% but easily drinkable, and smells of citrus and berries.
