Aston Villa home & away and enjoy a bit of cricket too. I also dabble in politics (Lib Dem member 🔶) & current affairs. Based in Slough.
But he chose being a bit-part player in successive trophy successes elsewhere, over unadulterated adoration and folklore. Either way, I don't understand the need for continuous commentary by casual observers such as Henry Winter about it all, supporters pay their money and can do as they please.

Indeed! Whilst I accept that there isn't the same fluidity as there was last season, perspective is important. We've had an exceptional level of growth in such a short period under Emery, and yet some supporters suddenly wish to hold us to the same standards as these elite title-winning clubs. 😳

I know these sentiments are being felt by a lot of those that have been beside this club through thick and thin, you know the ones that will still be there come rain or shine, European football or relegation battles, throughout the Championship years. Something needs to change pronto. (4/4)

Over the years, I've always considered church as a couldren of atmosphere for the large part but this overdoing of corporate bollocks (running before we can walk in that respect), and inevitable large waves of empty seats tonight, means we'll just have more of the same this evening. (3/4)

Or should I say, the lack of. Bar the Bayern Munich game, the atmosphere at Villa Park has been shoddy, dare I say non-existent, all season. So much so that it's actually interfering with my enjoyment/match day experience, to the point that it's just not worth doing given the aforementioned. (2/4)

for my mental health. In fact, when it's the international break or the off-season I just wilt away a little bit, plucking to get stuck back into it. Anyway, I think they certainly under-cook just what it means to us all if they think we wouldn't go just because it was on the box. 🤷‍♂️

Match going fans will tell you that as sad as it may seem to some, going to the football is pretty much what their lives revolve around. I do a 220-mile round journey just for home games and wouldn't have it any other way. Going to the football and connecting with like-minded others does wonders >

Exactly the same! When we're going well I'll consume every bit of content throughout the week and shout about it myself too. However, when we're on a bit of a poor streak, as we have been over the past few games, I just wilt away and ignore. I'll always be there though through the ups & downs! UTV!
