When I talk to someone who gets worked up about a "weirdo," I've found that asking "how does this effect you?" tends to get them to shut up.

When my mom retired and I could no longer call her work number, I was legitimately sad about it. I'd been calling that number for 35 years and it was the only active phone number left from my childhood. It felt like losing one of my few remaining connections to my past.

I'm giving this guy the benefit of the doubt and want to say he hasn't done a deep dive on JA's extracurricular activities.

Now I want to see Dan Rather on The Amazing Race. Thanks a lot.
