Trying to convince myself that post viral fatigue is very common with (presumed) RSV and not that unusual with lots of other viruses so I shouldn’t panic. It’s only been a few days, and 2-3 weeks is pretty common even for healthy people.

But the fatigue is just so bad…

I absolutely did not have Zohran snake charming Trump on my bingo card today.

Wild times, even by 2025 standards.

Family caught something that’s negative for covid and flu (suspect RSV based on a bunch of unique things about it) and I’m sick for only the third time since 2019.

The reactive arthritis flare is brutal. My dirt season off-ramp has become a very steep garbage chute.

Am I okay? Yes, and also no. 🤷‍♂️

Given all the cap ex spent on AI, for the industry to see just a 10% return on investment, between now and 2030, they would need to earn $750 billion per year in revenue. That's about $200 per month from every Netflix subscriber or $40 per month from every iPhone user.

I’m starting to think this recent campaign of bizarrely reasonable takes on various issues is her laying the groundwork for a near-future run at the speakership based on at least a few votes from the other side of the aisle…a notion which is, again, bizarre.

But nothing surprises me any more.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene: “The worst thing that I just can't get over is we're not working right now. And I put that criticism directly on the Speaker of the House…It is an embarrassment to me that we're not in session.”

5 years ago today in 2020 when we lived at the foot of Sugarloaf Mountain in Carrabassett Valley while our home was being gutted for mold removal in southern Maine.

Those months living with a proper trail network out the door changed my life and set a tone that’s gotten me through the years since.

The sprit of Freeride isn’t dead.

Even — or perhaps especially — where most bikes never go.

Sugarloaf Bike Park year one closing day was all time. With the ski resorts changing gears it’s down to Highland.

Tomorrow marks 6mo since my Highland season opener and if that’s the finale…for all its challenges, it made me a better rider than ever and confident that the best is still yet to come.

Graduate seminar did a deep dive on Thomas Paine’s Common Sense yesterday. At the line, “in America the law is king,” they (14 students from 6 countries) burst out laughing. I've been doing this for 35 years and this is the first time that was a laugh line.

I don't believe that there's all these autism cases all of a sudden when I only know a few people with autism, something is fishy about it, just like those "scientists" who keep claiming there are trillions of stars when anyone can look up at the sky and see that theres only a hundred or so
