Nona has a long history with a tiny crocheted hotdog. It's her favorite toy even though we have no idea where it came from and it sometimes disappears for years and shows up at new apartments. We are so worried about losing it that we recently got a back up.

Pete and Pete was an extremely important show of my childhood. Michelle Trachtenberg played a huge part in me understanding it's ok to be weird through her character Nona. It was so important that I named my cat Nona in her honor.

Happy lunar new year! I couldn't help but brew a cup of this 13 year old Hakka Pomelo oolong from Song tea in honor of the holiday. Aged in a pomelo for at least 10 years this is a tart cup that is best shared with friends and family.

Enjoying this CO2 decaffeinated Irish breakfast blend from Upton tea imports. Apparently CO2 decaf retains its flavor better? Add milk and you can't tell the difference.

Since most of the cups that I'm excited about are from this collection, I thought I would share what it actually is. Before starting this box I've tried a handful of their offerings (mostly herbal) but the one I always come back to for 6 years is the Shan Lin Xi Winter Sprout oolong.

Song Tea is by far one of my favorite tea makers and I always make sure to point everyone in their direction when they visit SF. This is from their 2024-2025 collection.
Green Heart was a great cup. As bitter as you would expect with Douglas fir as it's top tasting note.
