Again, I watched Watership Down when I was probably WAY too young! I knew it was sad and scary going in, I thought after The Lion King and The Land Before Time, I could handle it.

I've grown to have more love for the '67 film since then, but I appreciate how it carefully took elements of that movie and the Kipling book, whilst feeling largely unique. It also feels embarrassing that in nearly 10 years, THIS is as good as the remakes have gotten.
