"She preached to 7,000 people a day...She reenacted the scriptures with live camels, lions and lambs. She topped her church with radio towers to reach the sinning masses. In the 1930s she was big enough to be name-dropped in the lyrics of 'Hooray for Hollywood.'"

Using an image of a famous immigrant to recruit people to work for ICE, perhaps one of the most famous/successsful immigrants of our lifetime, is some Dumb-Fuck Hall of Fame type shit.

Disappointed that the Sandwich Guy case didn't feature photos of bits of lettuce and onion on the ground with these number cards near them like they do with bullets at a crime scene.

@mayorwu.boston.gov, thank your for your active, vocal, clear resistance to MAGA invasion + the dedication to making bike lanes work. But hey, also, you're unopposed this year becuz Josh Kraft is a clown. Anyway, I voted.

Diane Ladd, RIP

Here she is on the set of Inland Empire with her daughter, Laura Dern, talking about how many great directors she's worked with in her career. Lynch's return volley is of course wonderful as well. We lost them both this year. Legends!

Had to go to a mall last night and I noticed that all the clothing stores were selling shirts with car company logos on them. Can these possibly be selling? What teen thinks the Honda corporation is cool?

If you've never seen a Manual Cinema show before, I can't recommend them highly enough. Their new one, The 4th Witch, opens OCT 30 in Boston at the Paramount. It's going to be amazing, and very likely hard to get a ticket by the time it opens. Check this out artsemerson.org/events/the-4th-witch/
