Walking Dead had gigantic bumps when the show hit, but these are new, young customers coming in for SINGLE ISSUES. It's propelled by legitimate online word of mouth and out of context meme panels. You can't manufacture this.

But it is limited to Batman, WW, and Superman. Flash and GL really haven't caught on the same. Martian Manhunter is selling to a totally different audience and is outselling basically every other non-Absolute comic being published. It's wild. Image/Vertigo folks, give this one a shot.

It's hard to explain the success of the Absolute line if you're sort of out of touch with modern comics. I've...never seen a line of books perform like this. We're seeing INCREASES in sales 15 issues in. Like, significant increases.

Maybe it's time to finally admit I might not catch up on my Marvel backlog. I got Marvel Unlimited and started bookmarking new series in 2020 after the pandemic, and I'm uhhh about half way through 2021. That's 533 unread SERIES, not issues. I mean, half are one-shots or 5 issue minis, but still...
